Jim Marsh
Dean for Student Health and Wellness

Dr. Jim Marsh came to Baylor in the Spring of 1999 from the University of Tennessee. He earned his undergraduate degree at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and his Doctor of Philosophy in Counseling Psychology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He has had extensive experience with students in crisis and revised the University Counseling Center practices to increase support and care for students during their time at Baylor. He will be leading divisional initiatives to develop a comprehensive approach to campus health.
Dr. Marsh has served Baylor University in the role of the Executive Director of the Counseling Center for the better part of 20 years. In December of 2019, Dr. Marsh’s role expanded to the Dean for Student Health and Wellness. This includes direct oversight of the areas of Student Health, Counseling, Wellness, Care Team, and Campus Recreation.
