The Certificate in Experiential Leadership is a cross-curricular program open to undergraduate students of any major and designed to strategically weave together one’s academic course of study with substantive leadership practice in the university setting.
Through participation in this certificate program, students navigate through three domains of leadership learning and practice: Examination, Exploration, and Engagement. Through Examination experiences, students cultivate areas of personal interest, identifying opportunities where they can further invest in leadership. Through Exploration experiences, students contribute more intentionally to organizations, programs, and departments through increased collaboration with their peers as they develop a deeper understanding of leadership concepts and practices. Through Engagement experiences, students take responsibility for their own deep learning, demonstrating advanced knowledge of the relationship between leadership values and practice.
