Student Activities Organization Awards
Applications will open Spring 2026
Any individual may submit a nomination on behalf of an organization for the following awards by clicking the award title below. Applicants may wish to review questions (below) and gather pertinent information before beginning the application.
Student Organization of the Year Award
This award seeks to recognize one organization each year that has demonstrated true excellence among its peers within the University community. The Department of Student Activities will determine honorees based on organizational responses to essay questions and recommendations.
Outstanding New Organization Award
This award recognizes a group that has been chartered within the last two academic years for their outstanding accomplishments throughout the year and made a significant contribution to the Baylor community.
Student Activities Outstanding Advisor Award
This award recognizes an advisor who goes above-and-beyond to support their student organization. Qualified nominees are invested in the development of each member, maintain a consistent presence within their organization, and provide appropriate guidance to the organizational leadership. Student Activities staff will determine honorees based upon description of individuals given in this application and recommendation.

Applicants may find it most efficient to draft responses to the following questions in a word document and transfer them to the appropriate application form when ready to submit.
Student Organization of the Year Award
- Year of Baylor Charter/Recognition
- Approximate number of members
- Goal(s) or Purpose of the Organization
- At least one letter of recommendation is required to apply for this award, but organizations may submit more than one. Anyone closely affiliated with the organization (non-member) may write a letter on behalf of the organization. Please upload or email _______________.
- Upload an excel sheet with your organization’s executive leaders/officers. Include executive title, student first & last names, and academic classification. (i.e. President, John Smith, Junior)
- What are you most proud of from 2025-2026 Academic year (i.e. program, event, experience the chapter accomplished)
- In what ways has the student organization collaborated or partnered with other student organizations, Baylor departments, or community organizations this year (please be specific)?
- Describe a program or ongoing commitment the organization has implemented to impact the Waco or Baylor community.
- Please share any additional information you feel would be pertinent to the decision-making process of the selection committee. This can include information about events, organization development, commitment to faith, etc.
- Advertising to support essay questions. Optional supplemental information may be included.
