Dr. Jarrett Fisher Named Associate Vice President & Dean of Students
WACO, Texas — Baylor University is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Jarrett Fisher as Associate Vice President and Dean of Students, beginning in late August. Dr. Fisher brings with him more than two decades of leadership experience in higher education and student development, most recently serving as Associate Dean of Undergraduate Students at Princeton University.

I am confident he will elevate the student experience at Baylor in meaningful and lasting ways.”
Dr. Fisher’s tenure at Princeton University spanned over a decade, where he provided strategic oversight for a wide range of student-centered initiatives, including student organizations, performing arts, student media, campus traditions, free expression, and large-scale university events like commencement and convocations. His collaborative leadership style and passion for student success have earned him recognition and awards at every institution he has served.
Prior to his work at Princeton, Dr. Fisher held leadership roles at Pepperdine University and San Joaquin Valley College, where he designed innovative co-curricular programs, expanded student services, and championed inclusive leadership development.
Dr. Fisher holds a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership in Higher Education from Pepperdine University, and both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration from California State University, Bakersfield. A scholar-practitioner, he has presented nationally on topics ranging from student agency and campus activism to leadership transitions and institutional crisis response.
Dr. Fisher will be joined in Waco by his wife, Katie, and their three children.
