Staff Degree Rewards Program
Procedure for Staff Reward for Degree Attainment
Educating men and women for worldwide leadership and service is at the core of the Baylor mission. In Student Life, we value professional development and educational opportunities for our staff.
At the University, eligible staff receive 100% tuition remission on Bachelor and Master level courses at Baylor (up to two courses per semester). Tuition reimbursement is also available, under certain conditions, for job-related courses taken through another university.
In Student Life, we want to acknowledge those who successfully attain a degree while working full-time. This is an important milestone that should be recognized and celebrated.
The following procedure is for the purpose of encouraging professional development and personal growth as well as to retain staff and support learning opportunities.
Staff who hold full-time, permanent employment status with the University are eligible, based on the following requirements, for a one-time stipend upon the attainment of a degree from an accredited college or university. (Temporary and part-time staff are ineligible for this reward.)
Requirements for Staff Reward for Degree Attainment
Degree attained must support the critical function of the staff member’s current position and have supervisor, director, and dean approval, pending available funding.
Performance expectations must be met or exceeded (as prescribed by the staff performance evaluation process) for the duration of the degree seeking period.
Only one stipend may be earned while employed in the Division of Student Life.
Official graduation or degree attainment documentation must be provided to supervisor/director/dean and human resources prior to payment processing.
Stipends by Degree Attainment
