SL Staff Development
Greetings Student Life Colleagues!
The Student Life Staff Development Committee (SLSDC) is excited to announce that our professional development theme for the year is Navigating Difference for the Common Good.
There is a myriad of socially compelling issues that divide us. Our differences are real and can often keep us from working together to address important matters that affect us all. As a division of student development practitioners, we can contribute positively to how we approach our differences, becoming role models for our campus community and for a fractured world in need of reconciliation. As we commit to our growth together this semester, we do so with a solid commitment toward learning to navigate difference of all kinds in pursuit of a shared common good for all.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact SLSDC Co-Chairs Niesha Nixon at Niesha_Nixon@baylor.edu and Chris Gomez at Christopher_Gomez@baylor.edu.

Introduction to Human Flourishing / Baylor's Research Project
September 29, 2022
Over the next five years, Baylor University in partnership with Harvard University and Gallup will embard on one of the most comprehensive and groundbreaking research projects ever attempted on the subject of Human Flourishing. During our kickoff session, Dr. Byron Johnson presented an overview of the project, its methodology, and what they hope to achieve through it. If you missed the session, you can watch it below. You'll find Dr. Johnson's Powerpoint file here if you'd like to follow along during the presentation.
